Lower Elementary

(7 – 9 years)

The Lower Elementary Program at Peninsula Montessori School marks an exciting stage of growth where curiosity, imagination, and reasoning take center stage. At this age, children are no longer satisfied with simple answers—they want to understand the “why” behind everything they encounter. To meet this need, our classrooms are guided by the Montessori Cosmic Curriculum, which gives students a sweeping view of the universe, humanity, and the interconnectedness of all life.

In this dynamic environment, exploration, collaboration, and discovery are at the heart of learning. Children move beyond basic skill-building to apply knowledge through research, projects, and hands-on work.

The classroom community encourages cooperation, empathy, and leadership, helping students develop not only as thinkers but as responsible, compassionate members of their community.
